Hello my name is Carly Gilmour I am the Head of Admissions at Myddelton College. I'm often the first point of contact for our prospective parents and pupils. I take the time to get to know each student as an individual so we can provide the best experience for them here at Myddelton.

Mrs Lucy Davies

Mrs Davies has more than thirty years' experience of working in schools. These have included maintained primary schools, a through-school for pupils with additional learning needs, a large 4-18 international school, an independent prep school and independent schools ages 2-18, both boarding and day. She also has twelve years experience as a Head teacher. For her Masters in Educational Leadership Mrs Davies wrote her thesis on the impact of middle leadership coaching on pupil outcomes. She is also a trained Estyn Peer Inspector and a link Professional Mentor for both Bangor University and Chester University Education Departments.

Sixth Form

Whether you are new to Myddelton College or continuing from the middle school, you will be warmly welcomed into our Sixth Form community. With guidance and support, students will select A Levels that compliment and support their future education route. Our Sixth Form department strives to take a global perspective on Higher Education, inspiring students to consider not only universities within the United Kingdom, but also around the world.

Mrs Katie Gresley-Jones

I am Katie Gresley-Jones and I am Head of the Preparatory School at Myddelton College. I joined the college in 2017 when the prep school first opened. As a qualified Paws-B teacher I ensure the wellbeing and mental health of our youngest students is taken care of alongside a strong academic focus. I recently completed the NASENCO award to ensure all pupils in the Prep School are both supported and challenged in their learning.

Here at Myddelton College we embrace students from all countries and believe that in creating a college of many different nationalities it provides a great opportunity for staff and students alike to gain exposure to a diverse variety of languages and cultures.

Prep School

Myddelton Preparatory School teaches students between the ages of 7-10 (Year 3 - Year 6). Small class sizes mean that students benefit from a high teacher: student ratio and receive an education that is tailored to them. Lessons are highly stimulating, and field trips are designed to be memorable visits that bring their studies to life.

Senior School

Lessons are designed to use each student’s full capabilities, and field trips are memorable visits that bring studies to life. Students are encouraged to take an active part in the classroom conversation, as well as participating in extracurricular activities. Students will undergo classes on; personal profiling, understanding their skills, and developing an individual development plan. This plan focuses on providing a platform to help them realise their full potential.

Equestrian Facility

Myddelton College Equestrian Facility has the option to stable onsite permanently or there is a day stable available to accommodate for lessons. There are two 20 metres by 40 metres all-weather arenas and a ten-acre field and with easy access to a network of bridle paths in the surrounding Vale of Clwyd countryside.

Football Academy

The Myddelton Football Academy aims to help young footballers experience a professional environment and unlock their potential. Our programme focuses on developing you as a footballer and as an individual, on and off the pitch. We offer detailed structured training and knowledge on how to improve technically and tactically with every session. Whether your ambition is a career in football, to perform at a semi-professional level or just to make the most of your ability, then this is the opportunity for you. We welcome all abilities and want each player to fulfil their own goals. The Myddelton Football Academy provides a platform for elite players to take their skills to the next level and gain professional contracts and opportunities to advance their future careers. We embrace nurturing future players and look forward to assisting your development.

💚 Recently, the Friends of Myddelton held their final meeting of the academic year. It was fantastic to see a strong committee ready to take our Parent Group forward into September with energy, enthusiasm and fresh ideas. ⁠
⁠
The meeting was also tinged with sadness as we said farewell to two of our longest-standing and most dedicated members, Viv (mum of Nat in Y11) and Cath (mum of Jac in Y13), as their children move on to the next stage of their education. Both were warmly thanked on behalf of all parents and presented with beautiful bouquets and hand-etched glass jars. Their positive and lasting impact on College life, through tireless fundraising and organisation, has been truly invaluable. A heartfelt thank you - diolch yn fawr - from everyone at Myddelton College!⁠
